Scouts Tree Planting Program

Details

To commemorate the 164th Birth Anniversary of Lord Banden Powell, the founder of the Scouts Movement, a special project has been implemented to plant 100,000 plants island wide. The inauguration of this project was held on 22nd February 2021 under the patronage of His Excellency the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Parallel to the main event, a tree planting program was held at the CEA, Head office premises with the participation of Mr. S. Amarasinghe, Chairman, CEA on 22nd of February2021. In this event Chairman planted a Sandalwood sapling to mark the event. This project will continue from 22nd February to 21st March 2021. For this event Mr. Kamalanath Jinadasa, Secretary, National Scouts Headquarters, Scouts officers from Homagama zone, scouts and officers of CEA participated.
