Clean Air for Blue Skies

In parallel to International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies which falls on 7th August, the Ministry of Environment, Central Environmental Authority and Motor Traffic Department (Vehicular Emission Test Fund) collaboratively conducted an awareness program for general public in front of Sethsiripaya, Battaramulla on 7th September 2023.
The program was conducted under the theme of “Together for clean Air” to give broader idea about harmfulness of vehicular emission and air pollution by displaying informative boards by Environment Pioneers.
Hon. LasanthaAlagiyawanna, State Minister of Transport participated as the chief guest of the program. Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Secretary to the Ministry of Environment, Secretaries representing relevant institutions, Officers representing NBRO, Motor Traffic Department and CEA and other senior officials participated in the occasion.
