Central Environmental Authority organized E- Waste Collection programs

Parallel to the World Environment Day, the Central Environmental Authority organized E- Waste Collection programs on 3rd and 4th June 2024 in selected 97 centres representing four provinces.

The launching program in this regards was held on today (3rd June) at the CEA, Head Office with the participation of Mr. Prabhath Chandrakeerthi (Attorney at law), Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Mr. Venura Fernando, Chairman, CEA, Mr. P B Hematha Jayasinghe, Director General, CEA, Mrs. P K S Subhodini, Additional Secretary (Admin), Mrs. W.G. Kumaragam, Additional Secretary (Environment Projects & Education Training) and Mr. Chathura Malwana, Actg. Deputy Director General, Solid Waste Management Division.

The collected E- waste will be handed over to the E- waste recyclers registered under the CEA. In this event symbolically handed over the E- Waste to Clean Tech Company for further process.
