President’s Medal Awarding Ceremony- 2020-2021 At Jasmine Hall, BMICH

The 10thEnvironmental Pioneer President’s Medal Awarding Ceremony, which was one of the unforgettable moment in a pioneer’s lifetime was held on 11th May 2023 at the Jasmine Hall, BMICH. It was held under the patronage of His Excellency the President RanilWickremesinghe and with the participation of distinguished guests including Hon. Eng. NazeerAhamed, Minister of Environment, Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Secretary to the Ministry of Environment, Mr. Supun S Pathirage, Chairman, CEA and Dr. R MS K Rathnayake,Actg. Director General, CEA and other senior officials of the CEA and the Ministry of Environment.

Hundred and twenty seven pioneers representing 49 schools were awarded with the Presidential Medal at the event. Apart from that 17 CEA Officialsand 7 EPP teachers, who contributed to the success of this program were awarded with theExcellent Service Award.
The Central Province Office was awarded as the Best Regional Office in the year 2020-2021 to inspire their great contribution and Wilayaaya National School, was awarded with the Excellent Service Award for the Best School of the year 2020-2021.
