Re Opening of “Sobaketha” Nature Field Centre at Attidiya

With the aim of providing environmental knowledge and experience to the people, four "Sobaketha Nature Field Centres" are located in Roomassala, Attidiya, Kundasale and Kegalle by the CEA.

The Sobaketha Centres facilitate school children, university students who are like to be Eco – Friendly, to improve their knowledge. Accordingly, to provide better facilities to the students, the “Sobaketha” Nature Field Centre at Attidiya which was under the rehabilitation, ceremonially reopened on 17th September 2018.

With the participation of 45 Environmental Pioneers from Ananda Samarakoon Vidyalaya, Piliyandala the centre was started and they participated in the lectures as well as for the field visits.
Mr. Chanrarathna Pallegama, Chairman CEA, Mr. Gamini Jayasinghe, DDG, Environmental Education & Awareness Division, Mrs. Shyamani Periyapperuma, Director, Environmental Promotion Division, Mr. D A H Piyathilake, Divisional Secretary, Ratmalana and officers from the Western Province Office of the CEA were participated in the occasion.
