Re – Assessment of Laboratory Accreditation for Chemical Testing

The Re – Assessment of Laboratory Accreditation for Chemical Testing of the Water Quality Monitoring Laboratory was conducted on 20th- 21st August 2020 at the Head office Laboratory -CEA.

This assessment was targeted to determine whether the laboratory quality documentation, Rules & procedures for accreditation comply with ISO17025:2017 certification.

Mr. Hemantha Jayasinghe Director General – CEA chaired the opening meeting and briefing of the assessment objectives were done by Mrs. Mithila Gunasekara (Team Leader- Sri Lanka Acceleration Board). Ms. Wasantha Wijesinghe (Director- Laboratory Services) described the responsibilities of laboratory personnel’s.

 The closing meeting of the Re- assessment was held on 21st of August at the board room and Ms. Manisha Wickramasinghe (Team Leader) briefed the audit findings and the nonconformities. They really appreciated the laboratory staff regarding the skills and capacities of them. Director General also made comments on the audit findings. Finally Mr. K.H. Muthukudarrachchi (DDG-EPC) made a vote of thanks for all the support given throughout the assessment.
