Tree Planting at Southern Express Way

The Central Environmental Authority (CEA) collaborate with the Road Development Authority (RDA) conducted a tree planting program on 28th November at the Southern Express way with the objective of solution of current air pollution and to improve the natural beauty in the surrounded  area. With the guidance  of Mr. Isura Devapriya, Chairman, CEA and Mr. J N Nodrick, Director, Expressway Operation, Maintenance & Management Division, RDA. 1000 no. of Asoka and Magul Karada plants were planted along the Southern Express way between Galanigama and Dodangoda.

Nearly 250 participants including Mr. H S premachandra, Director, Western Province, Mrs. Shyamani Preiyapperuma, Director EPU, officers from CEA and RDA and Pioneers from Sripalee Vidyalaya, Horana participated in the occasion.
