According to the idea of the senior management of the CEA, a new shrine room constructed at the Central Environmental Authority (CEA), head office. While chanting the pirith by Maha Sangha, the opening ceremony was held on 28th of May through the participation of Mr. Chandrarathne Pallegama, Chairman and Mr. Hemantha Jayasinghe, Director General of the CEA.
The Civil Security Department gave their fullest cooperation to construct this attractive shrine room within very short period of time. The monks from Sri Wijaya Sumanaramaya, Korambe was chanted pirith at the moment to offer blessing.
Parallel to this ceremony an especial Dhamma sermon program was held and it was delivered by Ven. Shasthrapathi Koswatte Aritavimala Thera. In the sermon, Thera emphasized that the importance of adapting Lord Buddha’s pathway into our regular lifestyle.
The employees of the Head Office actively participated in the event and Captain. Kapila Ubesekara, Director, Operation, Civil Security Department and officers participated at the occasion.
