As an initiation of introducing environmental education in religious places, the Environmental Education & Awareness Division (EE & A) organized its first program for the Catholic religious community on the 22nd of May 2018 at CEA.
Nearly 30 officers from Seth Sarana Institute under the Catholic Church participated in this program. The Director of Seth Sarana Institute Farther. Ramanayake also participated in this program.
Mr. Sunil Udukala, Deputy Director, Media Unit delivered the welcome speech and explain the objectives of the program. Mrs. Thamara Disanayake, Assistan Director, EE & A Division explained the functions and role of the CEA while Mrs. Inoka Abesekara, Senior Environmental Officer, done the proposed programs going to be conducted in the catholic institution by EE & Division.
With the aid of the officers of the division the program was successfully concluded.
