Parallel to the National Vesak Festival the Welfare Society of the CEA organized a Vesak Lantern Competition at CEA on 27th of April at the CEA premises. The staff members of the authority have created very attractive and beautiful lanterns by using Eco- friendly and biodegradable materials.
The first place of the competition went to the Waste Management Division. The second place and third place were taken by the Legal Unit and the Environmental Education and Awareness Division respectively.
At the inauguration Mr. Hemantha Jayasinghe, Director General, CEA addressed the gathering and said that, it was a great pleasure to see the participation of the employees of all units of the authority and also their support and contribution to make this event a success.
