The Research & Development Unit in collaboration with Human Resource Development Unit of the CEA organized training program on “Statistics for Environmental Research”. This was held at the Auditorium of the National Institute of Plantation Management, Athurugiriya on 22nd & 23rd of March 2017.
The main objective of this training was to enhance knowledge of the officers of the CEA on Statistical Analysis Techniques related to the environmental researches. This program was consisted with theory and hands on practical sessions based on SPSS software.
Emrts. Prof. R.O. Thattil (Senior Professor, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya), Prof. S. Samita, Director, Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, Prof. T. Sivananthawerl (Head/ Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya), Emrts. Prof. C. Sivayoganathan (Senior Professor, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya) conducted the training program. The overall program was coordinated by Dr. Ajith Gunawardena, Assistant Director (Research & Development Unit).
