Environmental Economic Affairs Unit

Environmental Economic Affairs Unit was established in order to integrate Environmental Economics in to Environmental Management with a view to promote Sustainable Development in the country.

Functions

  • Implementation of Environmental Conservation Levy Act No.26 of 2008 and administration of its provisions and regulations in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance & Planning

  • Contributing in National Green Accounting Mechanism in Sri Lanka conducted by the Ministry of Environment

  • Participating at other environmental economics related activities
